It is not impossible that one or two people may have looked for a post on this blogsite during the past few weeks, but found nothing. Sorry: the weather is partly to blame (you know how computers tend to freeze up in severe conditions), and other factors probably include distractions such as sending Christmas cards, opening Christmas presents, recovering from Christmas indigestion, and even a little laziness.
But here follows (above, of course) a thought arising from a pair of homophones.
