The 'last-day-at-school' celebrations, as a TV clip showed us, were great fun. In fact, the presenter told us, "their memory would never be forgotten".
Memories may fade, and may even fade into oblivion. But at that point they cease to be memories. A forgotten memory is a memory no longer.
